Richard Thurlow's Profile
Richard Thurlow moved from Tasmania to Caloundra four years ago for a long weekend which seems to have extended indefinitely. He is now enjoying the second half of his life with less emphasis on work and the pursuit of material comforts and is replacing this with more satisfying and nourishing pursuits. One of the most important of these is developing his creative ability.
He has always enjoyed writing and painting and the latter, through the medium of oil painting, is now providing great pleasure. He is still developing a personal style and is exploring the possibilities of a wide range of subjects from abstract to landscapes.
I used to yearn for the time to do what I wanted to do and now I can. Life's good.
